Discシーリングランプは、小さなスペースを照らすため作られた控えめ照明です。狭いホールや、長い廊下を照らすために複数のシーリングランプが必要な場合に最適です。 名前の由来は、円盤状の形で、乳白色のガラスシェードを固定する黒または白のリングが付いた丸い形です。
「Discが生まれた背景は、スポットライトではなく、拡散してバックグランドライトを生成するランプを作ることでした。」 Doos ArkitekterのBronwynn Welsh氏はこう述べました。
Disc ceiling lamp has been designed by Doos Arkitekter as a discreet, low-key solution for illuminating small spaces. Disc is a smart choice in narrow halls, or when several ceiling lamps are needed to light up a long corridor. The lamp owes its name to its discus-shaped form, round with a black or white ring that holds the opalescent glass shade in place. 
“The underlying idea behind Disc was to create a lamp that didn’t direct the light, but diffused it to produce background lighting. We wanted to design a light source that is a discreet yet stylish alternative – slender and with a low-key presence,” says Bronwynn Welsh of Doos Arkitekter.
